about Clare
Welcome
I’m so inspired every time someone new finds me, and says “yes” to investing in themselves for this powerful work. Whether I’m helping you get clarity on your best degree pathway, assisting your adjustment to academic and campus life, or breaking down those psychological stressors holding you back –seeing you graduate, and go after your dreams is my bliss…
As an entrepreneur, storyteller, and psychologist, I’ve applied myself to understanding and teaching the many facets of human behaviour and culture. My journey has taken me from university classroom to boardroom, where I’ve worked extensively in cross-cultural neuropsychology and education.
I hold an academic background that spans both psychology and education, with a particular focus on how cultural factors influence cognitive processes and learning. My university teaching and therapeutic experience is extensive. I’ve guided countless students through their educational journeys, helping them grasp complex concepts and apply them effectively in real-world scenarios. My track record speaks for itself—students consistently achieve their goals under my mentorship.
My approach is empathetic and results-oriented. I focus on creating a supportive environment where each student feels valued and motivated. Whether it’s through personalised 1:1 sessions or engaging storytelling, I strive to make every interaction meaningful and impactful.
Let’s connect and see how we can collaborate to create meaningful and enriching experiences together!
Entrepreneur, Storyteller & Explorer
I’ve immersed myself in understanding how we learn, adapt to cultures, and overcome mental barriers. My interest isn’t just academic, it’s based on experience…I’ve lived in India, China and the US, but my home base is London. I’m author of Culture Shaped (2026), and founder of Xsrted aimed at reducing university student disengagement for better learning outcomes.
My Work
I’m known for my expertise in cross-cultural neuropsychology and extremism, most recently digital indoctrination. I started as a 20th-century historian focused on Fascist propaganda, and transitioned to become a scientist. Today, I’m a thought leader in education for the British Council, and get excited about shaping policy.
Global Adventures
My curiosity has taken me across many continents. When I’m not at my desk, you can find me exploring places like New Zealand’s Taupo Volcanic Zone, the glaciers in Kyrgyzstan, or Myanmar’s Bagan. There’s nothing I love more than an expedition, be that over mountains or the ocean.
Academic & Professional Journey
I hold six degrees (including two PhDs) and have worked in diverse industries—from banking and Christie’s, to academia at The University of Edinburgh and Management Consulting in higher education. I’ve also dabbled in Bollywood, curated exhibitions, modelled yoga pants, made sculptures and published books.
Yoga & Meditation
To find balance, I practise vinyasa yoga and vipassana meditation, having trained with masters in South East Asia. I’m an accredited yoga teacher and soon-to-be licensed Psychologist. Join me on my mat with my rescue cat, Simba.
